Dolly Jay Jones

Dolly Jay Jones, nee Long, age 64, passed away peacefully with her children by her side on September 25, 2025, in Lexington, Kentucky. Born on June 30, 1961, in Erie, Pennsylvania, Dolly lived a full and vibrant life defined by creativity, resilience, and an unshakable love for her family.
She is lovingly survived by her daughter Anna Donoghue (Daniel), her son Adam Brewster (Ashley Pipkin), and her four cherished grandchildren: Aidan, Addison, Asa, and Arlo. She also leaves behind her parents, Rick and Sandra Paske, and her siblings Debbie Henry, Mike Long, Denise Prindle, and Mark Long.
Dolly spent much of her career in the restaurant industry, including owning and operating Doxsie Deli in Ashtabula, Ohio. Later, she channeled her creative spirit into her own interior design business, where her natural eye for beauty and detail flourished. In 2012, she proudly graduated with high honors from Washtenaw Community College.
Among all her accomplishments, Dolly's favorite role was being "Grandma." She was deeply devoted to her grandchildren and considered it a true blessing to spend the last five years traveling between Kentucky and Nevada, making unforgettable memories with them.
Known for her pragmatism, resourcefulness, and boundless humor, Dolly had a gift for making people laugh and feel at home. Her creativity touched everything she did, from cooking for her family and decorating to simply finding joy in everyday life.
A graveside service will be held at Wales Cemetery in Erie, Pennsylvania on Monday, October 6, 2025 in her memory. Dolly's presence will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her, but her spirit lives on in the laughter she inspired and the love she shared so freely.
