STERLING - Dolly K. Miller, 69, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025 after a brave battle with lung disease, the loving wife of Curtis Miller with whom she shared 36 years of marriage, a mother of three, grandmother of three, a sibling, and friend to so many.
Born in Coshocton, Ohio she is the daughter of the late Richard and Geraldine (Canning) Daringer, the second of their eight children. She worked as an Electrical Technician for Digital and Intel for 30 years before her retirement.
Dolly was an active member of the Sterling community and an enthusiastic congregant of Hope Chapel. She participated in many Sterling Fairs, winning several blue and purple ribbons for her baking skills and beautiful flowers, and enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. She was the Vice President of the Garden Club and could usually be found tending to her own gardens at home. In her free time, she loved crafting, from origami stars and paper quilling to sewing and embroidery, often giving hand-made gifts to friends, family, and the nurses and staff who cared for her. Her strength, creativity, generosity and dedication to her family, faith, and community will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
She is survived by her husband Curt, her son Mark Varga and his partner Shae Rossi of Sterling, daughter Sherri (Varga) Martel and son-in-law Phil Martel of Wiesbaden Germany, and son Devin Miller of Sterling; her grandchildren Lucy and Seth Varga, and August Martel; as well as her siblings Mary Whitehead, Elsie Daringer, Allen Daringer, Lois Kreitzberg and Louise Stoop, along with many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, and siblings Margaret Kinnunen and Jake Daringer.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to visit with her family on Tuesday, December 16th from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at the Miles-Sterling Funeral & Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling. A funeral service will be celebrated the following day, Wednesday, December 17th at Hope Chapel, 35 Chocksett Road in Sterling at 10:00 AM. Interment in Hillside Cemetery, Sterling.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Virginia Thurston Healing Garden, where Dolly found peace and support as a breast cancer patient and 20+ year survivor: https://healinggardensupport.org/
