Dolly Russo Obituary
Dolly Russo, age 79, of Hampton, NJ passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024 at Hunterdon Care Center in Raritan Twp., NJ.
She was born on April 9, 1945 in Orange, NJ. She spent her childhood in Orange before moving to Union, NJ in 1963. She then lived in Califon, NJ for nearly 20 years before moving to Hampton, NJ in 2004.
She was the daughter of the late Eugene and Ethel Deckenbach Anen.
Her husband, John Joseph Russo, passed away in 1974.
Dolly was a stay-at-home mom and later a Nurses Aid at Hunterdon Hills Rehabilitation in Glen Gardner, NJ until her retirement.
Dolly was on an endless quest to find missing children. She was very involved in children's protection. These were her biggest passions.
Dolly also enjoyed country music and loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include three children; Denise Russo-Farnese of Hamburg, NJ, Lisa Cessna and her husband Brian of Hanover, PA, and Joseph John Russo of Hampton, NJ. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; John Russo, Patrick Russo, Darla Farnese, Devan Gooley, Brandon Gares, Nicholas Russo, Kira Russo, Vincent Russo, Gianna Russo, Joey Juban, Monique Melise, Robert Melise and nine great-grandchildren; Mikayla Trujillo, Trinity McKlin, Ava McKlin, Mya McKlin, Aiden Russo, John Bennett Russo, Emilia Lee Russo, Elliana Macedo and Finley Gares.
Predeceased in addition to her husband are two sons; John Joseph Russo Jr. and Thomas Edward Russo and a daughter, Michelina Russo.
All services will be private.
Arrangements are under the direction of Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home in Lebanon, NJ.
Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
