Christine Marie ( Kuroczka) Russo, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on August 27, 2025, at the age of 71.

Born on June 13, 1954, Christine grew up surrounded by the beauty of upstate New York, a place she cherished throughout her life. On June 16, 1972, she married the love of her life, John S. Russo, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure.

Christine was known for her deep love of flowers and her vibrant garden, which she tended with care and joy. She found peace and happiness travelling around the scenic countryside of upstate New York with John, sharing quiet moments and discovering new places together.

She is survived by her devoted husband, John S. Russo; her children, John C. Russo and Keri Chmelik; her cherished grandsons, Brandon, Markus, and Lucas Russo; her mother, Genevieve Beers; her siblings, Joseph Kuroczka, Theresa Machuga, and Janey Keefer. Christine's memory lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Her kindness, strength, and joyful nature will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

It was Christine's wish that there be no services. Carpenter's Funeral Home, 14 E. Pulteney St., Corning, NY has been entrusted with the arrangements.
