In Loving Memory of Dolmonta Lamar Johnson
February 28, 1989 – October 18, 2025
Dolmonta Lamar Johnson was born on February 28, 1989, in Cumberland County, North Carolina, to Doyle Martin Geddie and Tandra Johnson. From the very beginning, Dolmonta was a bright light-full of energy, love, and purpose.
A proud family man, Dolmonta lived his life with strength, determination, and an unwavering commitment to the people he loved. He was the glue that held many together-the one everyone called, leaned on, and looked up to. Whether as a brother, father, uncle, cousin, or friend, he gave his all with a heart as big as his personality.
He was a go-getter, a leader, and a hustler in the best sense of the word. Whatever he put his mind to, he chased with passion and drive. But above all else, his proudest role was being a father. He leaves behind a lasting legacy in the lives of his children: Merci Johnson, Ma'Lieha Johnson, Dolmonta Johnson Jr., Dolvarus Johnson, Trinity Johnson, and Serenity Johnson. He now joins his beloved daughter, Destinei Johnson, in eternal peace.
Dolmonta's memory will be cherished forever by his loving family: his mother Tandra Adams (deceased), his father Doyle Geddie (deceased), and his stepmother Penny Geddie; his brother DelQuan Johnson; and his four sisters-Kawanza Lilly, Joanne Geddie, Eboni Johnson (wife Destiny Fletcher), and Ke'Ana Munn (husband Devin Munn).
He is also remembered with love by his aunt Charlotte Johnson; his uncles Charles Johnson Jr., Herman Geddie, and Robert Geddie; and a host of other uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends whose lives he touched.
Dolmonta lived fully, loved deeply, and laughed loudly. His presence was powerful, his loyalty unmatched, and his spirit unforgettable. Though he is no longer with us in the flesh, the impact of his life and the love he gave will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew him.
Rest easy, Dolmonta. Your work here is done, but your legacy will live on.
