Dolores Bouwkamp Obituary

Dolores was born July 4, 1931, in Conklin, Michigan, to Cornelis and Barbara (Schaefer) Wiltenburg. Dolores graduated from Sparta High School, and she later married Willis Bouwkamp. Dolores and Willis raised their children in Hamilton and Zeeland and were members of North Street Christian Reformed Church. Dolores was a seamstress at Herman Miller for many years prior to her retirement. Willis preceded Dolores in death in 2011, and her daughter Patty Yancey in 2019.
She is survived by her children: David Bouwkamp, Betty and Earl Poppema, Mary and Roger Schutte, Shawna Bouwkamp, son-in-law Ray Yancey, nine grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, sister Garnet Runstrom, sister-in-law Janice Bouwkamp, and many extended family members.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, June 28, 2025, at North Street Christian Reformed Church, 20 East Main Ave., Zeeland MI 49464. Visiting hours will be 4-6 pm, Friday, at the Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State Street, Zeeland MI 49464. Interment will be in Zeeland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to City on a Hill, or His Harvest Stand.

My deepest sympathy to Betty and Earl Poppema and the entire family.
Although I never met Delores, her grandson, Nate Poppema spoke highly of her.
She is now in the arms of our Lord and pain free! R. I. P.
