Dolores L. Cernik

Dolores Cernik, dear wife, mother, grandmother, and sister passed away August 11, 2024 at the age of 96. She was born on September 7, 1927 to the late Joseph and Mary (Zarczyski) Gabrys.
Beloved wife of the late Joseph Cernik. Loving mother of Richard, David (Linda), Joseph (Debra) and Elaine. Dearest grandmother of Amanda, Tyler, Ryan (Lindsay), Evan, and Jordan (Amber). Great grandmother of Victoria, Elise, and Kelly. Dear sister of Clem (Barbara) Gabrys. Preceded in death by brother Clarence. Also survived by her loving caregiver Stacey Calloway.
A devoted Catholic, her strong faith in God brought Dolores to Scripture readings and lead weekly rosaries at St. Frances Cabrini Church. Devoted to Mother of Perpetual Help. Dolores loved her family and friends. She dedicated her time helping and serving others.
Visitation for Dolores will take place on Thursday, August 15, 2024 from 4 - 8 pm at Weise Funeral Home, 7210 Park Avenue, Allen Park, MI 48101. A rosary service will take place at 7 pm on Thursday evening.
Dolores' funeral mass will take place on Friday, August 16, 2024 at 10 am (In state at 9:30 am) at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 9000 Laurence, Allen Park, MI 48101.
Interment at St. Hedwig Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Dolores' honor can be made to St.Jude or to the American Heart Association.
