Dolores Duris

Dolores "Jane" Duris, 94, of North Huntingdon, died Thursday, January 22, 2026 at Arden Courts, Monroeville. She was born April 25, 1931 in Ford City, a daughter of the late John and Stella (Szymanski) Holizna and was also preceded in death by her husband Andrew A. Duris, a daughter Linda Duris, and siblings John Holizna Jr and her identical twin sister Phyllis "Jean" Bennett. Jane was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Irwin, where she attended daily mass and was a member of the Christian Mothers. She also had been a volunteer in the cafeteria and for fish fry's and volunteered at St. Emma's Monastery. She sought God's will throughout her life and was a kind, caring person with a sarcastic sense of humor. She is survived by her children Lisa Ference and her husband Keith and Lori Smith and her husband Lou; her grandchildren James Ference, Rachael Seitzinger (Ryan) and Adam Ference; her great grandchildren Austin and Aiden Seitzinger; also nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 27, at the WILLIAM SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 521 Main St., Irwin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 28, in Immaculate Conception Church. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
