Dolores P. Engel

Dolores Pearl Engel (nee Lyrenmann), age 96 years, of Menomonee Falls was called to be with the Lord on March 4, 2025 at her residence.

Dolores was born on July 28, 1928 in Milwaukee to Lyle and Doris Lyrenmann (nee Weck). She was united in marriage to Kenneth Edward Engel on March 11, 1950 at Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. They were married for 68 years, prior to Kenneth’s death in 2018.

Dolores graduated from high school in 1946. She was Secretary for the Milwaukee Retired Fire and Police Association, a volunteer for the Milwaukee Firefighters Auxiliary for 45 years, and a volunteer for the Veterans Administration for 28 years. She was a life-long Packer fan with a great sense of humor, always putting others’ needs before her own.

She was a member at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church in West Bend.

Those Dolores leaves behind to cherish her memory include her son, Michael Engel (Mary Borsecnik); daughter, Cheryl (Thomas) Lemke; grandchildren, Sara Klatt, Alexander Engel, Austin Engel; and brother, Gerald (Judy) Lyrenmann. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; brother, Donald (Judy) Lyrenmann, sister-in-law, Leona Lyrenmann; and brother-in-law, Theodore (Marion) Engel.

VISITATION: Dolores’ family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Myrhum-Patten Funeral & Cremation Service – 1315 W Washington St. – West Bend, WI 53095.

SERVICE: A Funeral Service in remembrance of Dolores will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Robert Korytkowski officiating. Inurnment at Washington County Memorial Park at a later date.
