Dolores J. "Dolly" Fosco

Dolores J. DiCarlo Fosco, age 96, of Erie, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.

She was born in Erie on October 13, 1929 a daughter of the late Russell and Catherine Panameroff DiCarlo.

Dolly was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker who dedicated her early years to raising her six beloved sons. After the passing of her husband in 1974 from multiple sclerosis, she courageously completed vocational training to support her family. She worked in the manufacturing field and later retired from Gannon University where she worked in the women's residence halls.

Dolly had a passion for cooking and baking, and her Sunday Italian dinners became a tradition that family and friends looked forward to. She enjoyed bowling and playing bocce for many years, proudly helping lead her teams to many championships. She was also remarkably skilled at word search puzzles, completing them daily until just days before her passing.

A woman of deep faith, Dolly was a member of Saint George Roman Catholic Church. She will be remembered for her strength, warmth and unwavering love for her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Fosco, a son, Frank Fosco and a brother, Sonny DiCarlo.

She is survived by five sons, John (Cathy), Jerry, Thomas, (fiancé Jen), Daniel (Michelle) and Joseph (Darlane) and a sister, Lillian Foor. 12 grandchildren, Jason, Heather, Cindy, Sarah, Lauren, Frankie, Kylie, John, Daniel, Joey, Nicholas and Lucas and several great-grandchildren also survive.
