Dolores Hungerford, 91 of Brownsburg, Indiana, passed away peacefully, September 24, 2024 in Brownsburg Meadows with her beloved and caring family by her side. The following is an obituary written by them.
Dolores May McCullough Hungerford was born in Dallas, Texas on October 19, 1932. She grew up in Terre Haute, the daughter of Velma and Ira McCullough.
She loved cake decorating and catered many weddings.
She taught 6th Grade Girls’ Sunday School Class at Bethesda, as well as Vacation Bible School. She and her husband, Bill, also started a teen youth group at Bethesda.
Dolores retired from Dow Chemical after over 20 years working in production. She was also at Seradyn.
She loved crafts and sewing, making many outfits for her three daughters when they were young.
She was always the one to help others. She was a member of Faith Baptist and formerly a member of Bethesda Baptist.
Dolores is survived by her daughters, Linda (Roger) Ave, Patty Ingram, and Cynthia Bigham; her grandkids, William (Misty) Ave, Nicole Strong, Chris (Amber) Ingram, Paul (Susan) Bigham, and Ryan Bigham; her great-grandkids, Emma, Kaylee, Mason, Julian, Miles, Summer, Landon, Haven, Brandon Lucas, Colin, and Logan; as well as her niece, Carol Moore.
Funeral Services will be held at 12 pm, Wednesday, October 2, 2024 in Eric MD Bell Funeral Home, where friends are invited to call from 10 am until the time of the service. She will be laid to rest in Roselawn Cemetery.
All are asked to keep her loving family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time of loss.
