Dolores Moran

Our dear Dolores Moran, 83, of Old Bridge, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, surrounded by her loving family, at her home in Old Bridge.
Dolores was born on August 18, 1939 to John and Helen Davicsin in Passaic, NJ. She worked as the Superintendent at Ocean View Terrace Apartment complex in Asbury Park, NJ. for many years, before retiring at 76. On May 24,1958, Dolores married James Richard "Dickie" Moran. She lived in Spotswood, NJ before moving to Old Bridge 61 years ago.
She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, and had many friends whom she loved and cared deeply for. She was always there when you needed her.
She was the matriarch of her family, always giving advice and love to those around her.
She was kind, incredibly smart, and knew what to say to make you laugh.
She enjoyed visiting Ocean City NJ every year with her friends and family, spending time in the beautiful weather, watching the sun rise, and taking in the ocean views. You could always find her savoring her morning coffee, reading crime books or watching shows, and taking very good care of her many pets throughout her life.
While we are sad Dolores has left us, we are at peace knowing she is at rest and pain-free.
Dolores was predeceased by her husband, James Richard Moran in 2014; her father, John Davicsin; and her mother, Helen Russell Davicsin.
Dolores is survived by her two loving daughters, Sharon Ann Moran-Hawkes, and her spouse Jim, and, Sheri Lynn Moran, and her spouse Jake Neukum; two sons, Richard James Moran, and his spouse Pauline, and Daniel John Moran, and his spouse Lucia; her sister, Gail Gilbert and her spouse John; her brother, Gary Davicsin and his spouse Fran; three granddaughters, Megan Rose McCool, Brittany Marie Sierakowski, and Heather Rose Schwartz; three grandsons, Daniel Todd Moran, Richard James Moran Jr., and Zachary Moran; and two great-grandsons, Jameson and Tyler.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 20, 2023, 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Old Bridge Funeral Home, 2350 CR 516, Old Bridge, NJ 08857.
