Dolores Polchinski

Dolores "Dee" Polchinski, 81, of Allegheny Township, died Friday, Nov. 28, 2025, in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. She was born in Natrona Heights on Dec. 13, 1943, to the late Andrew J. and Pauline S. Hranica Kolek and has been a resident of Allegheny Township since moving from Natrona Heights in 1968. Mrs. Polchinski was a member of St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church, Lower Burrell, and worked as a licensed practical nurse for Allegheny Valley Hospital for 35 years. She enjoyed playing bingo, playing cards, especially 31, watching Jeopardy, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Thomas F. Polchinski; son, Patrick (Laura) Polchinski of Tecumseh, MI; two daughters, Rosaleen "Rose" (Ron) Kotkiewicz of Washington, PA, and Deena (Bryan) Zadylak of North Huntingdon; four grandchildren, Steven, Jessica, Nolan, and Carson; three step-grandchildren, Ronnie, Matthew (Jessica), and Alex; and siblings, Marie Sosovicka of Allegheny Township, Veronica (Michael) Kobulnicky of Weirton, WV, and Andrea (Patsy) Scalise of New Kensington. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Martha Kolek. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURRELL FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Road at Alder St., where Prayers of Transfer will be said at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, followed by a Christian Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Margaret Mary Church.
