New York, New York - Dolores J. Seiler, a lawyer, feminist, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and engaged community member, died on August 25, 2025, at her home in New York City. She was 94. Born in Hurleyville, NY, Dolores graduated from Fallsburg High School and Syracuse University. She and her husband, Seymour, moved to Miami, Florida, in the mid-1970s, where she earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Miami and successfully ran a general law practice.

Throughout her life, Dolores actively supported political candidates and women's causes. An early member of the Miami-Dade chapter of the Florida Association of Women Lawyers, she also served on the Florida Democratic Executive Committee and joined women's marches in Washington. Later she also became a staunch supporter of Gabby Giffords in the fight against gun violence. Upon retirement from her legal career, Dolores taught English at community colleges in Miami and New York, and tutored NYC high school students. In her 80s, she joined the Institute of Retired Professionals in NY, making new friends and writing her memoirs.

Dolores was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Seymour A. Seiler, and by her siblings, Ellen Brown and Leslie Levine. She is survived by her children, Karen Seiler (Daniel Stone) and Eric Seiler (Darcy Bradbury), six grandchildren, two great-granddaughters, and extended family.
