February 14, 1929 - August 23, 2025
Dolores Slavinski, 96, of Wallingford, CT, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Complete Care, Meriden. She was born February 14, 1929, to parents Pasquale and Susie (Della Vechia) DeBaise.
Dolores is preceded in death by her husband, Walter; her youngest son, Rob; 6 sisters; 5 brothers; and her parents.
Dolores is survived by her son, Richard (Verna) Dandelski; her step-daughter, Deborah (Robert) Battaglia; her younger brother, Anthony (Patricia) DeBaise; her grandchildren, Richard (Karee) Dandelski, Richelle (Mike) Russillo; and her step-grandchild, Emily (Frank) Nolan. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Robert (Gail Lordi) Russillo, Raychel (Joe Lombardi) Russillo, Evan Russillo, and Joshua Dandelski.
A living angel, she continually cared for family and friends. Some of her greatest joys were summers at the beach, hosting large family picnics at her beloved home on the hill, and traveling for years with her youngest son as he pursued a career on the NHRA drag racing circuit.
Many thanks to Jazmin Ortega, her friend and caregiver, for more than 11 years.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on September 3, 2025 at Most Holy Trinity Church, 84 North Colony Rd., Wallingford. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery.
