Doloris Meinert

Doloris "Honey" Meinert died at age 84 in her Kiel Home on Friday, March 27, 2026. She was born December 31, 1941 to the late John and Marie Meinert. She is preceded in death by her brother, Jim Meinert and previous husbands, George Schisel, John Federer, Jim Konen and Gene Arbuckle. She graduated from Kiel High School in 1960.

Honey was a strong woman of faith. She dedicated herself to various ministries at Jubilee Assembly of God in New Holstein where her talents of decorating, organizing, costume-making, and secretarial work shone brightly. Her compassionate spirit extended to the streets of Milwaukee through her involvement with Fresh Fire Ministries.

She enjoyed spending time at her cottage on Cedar Lake with her family. She loved sitting on her front porch near City Park watching traffic and listening to the Summer Concert Series.

She is survived by her children, Dave Schisel, Mike (Linda) Schisel, Cathy (Jeff) Knuth, and John C. (Kelly) Schisel and step-children, Tom, Donald, Linda, Beth, Heidi, Steve, and Amy. She leaves behind her loving grandchildren, John B. (Sarah) Schisel, Brad Schisel, Krystal (Mike) Ingwersen, Amanda Schisel, David (Alicia) Knuth and Faith (Cameron) Fritz.

A private family memorial will be held on Friday, April 17th.
