Domenico J. Antico, 88, of North Providence, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at HopeHealth Hospice, surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of Elizabeth “Betty” (Collins) Antico, with whom he shared 66 wonderful years of marriage.
Born in Providence, Domenico was the son of the late Joseph and Nancy (Pezza) Antico. He proudly served his country as a U.S. Navy veteran and went on to enjoy a distinguished career as President of Herbold Meckesheim USA, a global company specializing in plastic bottle recycling equipment. His work took him around the world before he eventually retired.
Domenico was a man deeply devoted to his family and friends. He was loved by many and will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, and unwavering commitment to those he cared about.
In addition to his beloved wife, Betty, he leaves behind two cherished daughters, Gina Demou and her husband Nick, and Beth Caparelli. He was a proud grandfather to Sabrina Maldonado, Samantha Caparelli, and Alexander Demou and his wife Tina, and a loving great-grandfather to Antonio Maldonado, Natalia Borden, Collin Borden, and Zoey Chadwick. He is also survived by his sister, Rosemary Bishop.
Domenico was predeceased by his son-in-law, Salvatore D. Caparelli Jr., and his siblings, John Antico, Joseph Antico, and Geraldine Holzberger.
Family and friends are invited to attend Domenico’s funeral services on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, beginning at 9:00 a.m. at Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith Street, North Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m.at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Interment with Military Honors will take place at Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
