Alphonse J. Antico

It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the passing of Alphonse J. Antico, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle, on September 30, 2024. His magnetic personality, boundless love, and compassion touched everyone around him.
Born on October 12, 1938, in Brooklyn, NY, to Frank and Mary (Amendola) Antico, Alphonse proudly served in the U.S. Army in Alaska during a pivotal time in history, contributing to the defense of the nation during the early years of the Cold War.
In 1961, he married the love of his life, Barbara (Pfeiffer) Antico, and they settled in White Plains, NY. Their 63 years together were filled with joy as they raised three children and created countless memories. Al was a devoted husband and father, always there with a listening ear, wise advice, and a shoulder to lean on. He instilled in his children a deep respect for tradition and the importance of compassion.
Al founded Coastal Recovery, a credit, collections, and consulting firm which he led for over 40 years. Throughout his career, Al created lifelong friendships that he was proud to say still existed to this day.
Al was predeceased by his father, Frank Antico; his mother, Mary (Amendola) Antico; and his brother, Phillip C. Antico. He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara E. (Pfeiffer) Antico; his three children, Craig J. Antico (Jessica), Steven A. Antico (Karyn), and Donna (Antico) Buglione; ten grandchildren, Erik (Shawnna), Clark, Alexander, Connor, Chad, Victoria (Eric), Austin, Giulianna, Genna, and Jack; and one great-granddaughter, Brecken.
Al was an avid golfer and loved traveling around the world. Known for his laughter and storytelling, he was a master in the kitchen, often delighting family and friends with his culinary creations. His home was always filled with love and tradition-the heart of family gatherings, from elaborate Christmas Eve dinners to casual Sunday afternoons. After retiring to the Berkshires, he continued to share his passion for cooking, entertaining, and fishing, always enjoying a lively house filled with music, laughter, and great food. Al made a lasting impression on everyone he met and will be deeply missed.
Service: A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 920 Mamaroneck Avenue, White Plains, NY 10605
