Roger Rupert Stevens, Sr., “Old Timer”, was born on September 07, 1951 in Great Barrington, Massachusetts.

Roger fought mightily through a long battle with chronic pain, diabetes, heart, and kidney disease which he succumbed to at Bay State Medical Center on February 1, 2026. Although he suffered greatly, he never let these things keep him from being there for the ones he loved. Roger had an extreme affinity for working with his hands. He was a jack of all trades, a carpenter, farmer, mechanic, and had quite the green thumb. He was especially talented with machines and had a beautiful mind. He could seemingly fix anything he put his hands on. He retired as a beloved member of the team at Mill River Farm in Mill River, Massachusetts. Roger was a father and father figure to many. He welcomed all to his home and the love that he had for his family was immeasurable.

Roger was predeceased by his grandparents Rupert and Hazel, his parents Frederick and Pauline, and his brother Frederick Jr.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 51 years, Priscilla. His children Erica, Tonia (Greg), Lynn, Roger Jr. (Kasey), Christina (Jason), Shawn, and Thomas “Bird”.

His grandchildren Brandon (Cheyenne), Sabrina, Anthony, Maria (Nicholas), Ashley (Javier), Kevin, Codey (Ashley), Jerrad (Cierra), Hunter (Krista), Logan, Ava, Zoe (Christian), and Jad. His great-grandchildren McKenna, Christopher, Benjamin, Lilianna, Peyton, Mila, Max, Mason, Benji, and two more that arrived this summer.

He also leaves behind his brother Larry (Judy) and his sisters Bonnie (George), Sandra (Ernie), and Debbie (David) as well as many nieces and nephews.

A service for Roger will be held at Finnerty and Stevens Funeral Home, 426 Main Street, Great Barrington, MA at 1PM on February 21, 2026. A celebration of life will be held at the VFW, 800 South Main Street, Great Barrington, immediately following.
