Domenico Bentivenga

With deep love and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Domenico Bentivenga of Chicago, Illinois, who left us peacefully, surrounded by his devoted family. Born in Fiumefredo Bruzio, Italy, Domenico built a life rooted in love, hard work, and devotion. Domenico carried with him a deep love of heritage, strong values, and a steadfast commitment to his family. He built a life rooted in hard work, generosity, and unwavering love. For 42 years, he worked faithfully at Nabisco, earning the respect and admiration of all who knew him.
Domenico shared 47 wonderful years with his beloved wife, Lina, the center of his world. Together, they raised three children who were his greatest pride: Luigi Bentivenga (Deanna); Josephine Duignan (Todd); and Cristina Dorian (Michael). His heart was fullest when he was with his grandchildren-Daniel, Ava, Cameron, and Jack-who brought him endless joy. His greatest joy came from being "Nonno" to his treasured grandchildren.
He is also survived by his brother, Vincenzo Bentivenga (Rosina); his sisters, Maria and Francesca Caputo; and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Domenico's happiest moments were spent around the family table-sharing meals, laughter, and the cherished traditions he brought from Italy. His strength, unwavering work ethic, determination, fun sense of humor, and deep love for his family will be forever remembered and deeply missed. He brought joy to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy lives on through his family and friends, the traditions he passed down, and the values he instilled in all those whose lives he touched. He will be missed forever.
