Domenico Giuseppe Morasca October 10, 1949 – November 7, 2025 Domenico Giuseppe Morasca, 76, of North Dighton, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Josephine Rita Foti-Morasca. Born in Milazzo, Sicily, to the late Margherita (Barca) and Francesco Morasca, Domenico's life began in a small coastal town before his family immigrated to the United States in July 1960. At just eleven years old, he arrived in Massachusetts aboard The Vulcania ship with his mother, father and siblings, carrying with him a strong work ethic and Sicilian roots that would define his life. Proud of his Sicilian heritage and happiest when everyone was peacefully together, Domenico lived a life anchored in faith, family, and tradition. His legacy continues through the generations of family who loved him deeply and will always remember his steady presence, his pride, and the life he built from the ground up. Domenico grew up in Roxbury and Allston, where he learned English and adapted to a new country while staying true to his Sicilian roots. After high school, he began his career at Stride Rite, where he worked for ten years before joining Polaroid, where he proudly spent the remainder of his career until retirement. Domenico's love story began when he met his future wife Rita, in December of 1969 who was vacationing from Sicily in the Boston area. The two were inseparable, so much so that they married a month later, beginning a partnership that lasted more than five decades. Domenico and Rita moved to East Taunton in 1977 where they raised three children, Frank Anthony of Taunton, Margaret Anna of East Taunton, and Carmelo Giovanni of North Dighton. In his "me time" Domenico loved tending to his garden and listening to his collection of vinyl records. In addition to his wife and children he is also survived by his grandchildren Giovanni Dominic Morasca and his fiancée Arielle of East Taunton, Jennifer Tecla Morasca of Boston, Frank Morasca Jr. of Mansfield, and Nicolas Joseph Morasca of East Taunton, and his great grandchildren Maverick Dominic Morasca and Isabella Frances Morasca of East Taunton. Funeral from the O'Keefe-Wade Funeral Home 70 Washington Street in Taunton on Friday, November 21st at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 984 Taunton Ave, Seekonk at 11 AM. Calling hours wiil be held on Thursday from 5-8 PM. Interment St Francis Cemetery in Taunton
