Dominga "Minga" Duran Botello

In Loving Memory of Dominga (Minga) Duran Botello, 97, who passed peacefully in Las Cruces, NM on November 13, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born on June 28,1928 in Loraine, TX to Jose and Paula Duran.

She is survived by her loving husband, Luis Botello of Farmington, NM, where they had resided for many years and her five daughters, Mary L. Kelley of Andalusia, AL, Delia Amber (Edward) of Deptford, NJ, Godelba Molinar of Lockhart, TX, Lupita Maskew (Dwight) of Waco, TX, and Lizabeth Torres (Oscar) of Las Cruces, NM. And a surviving sister, Ofelia Flores of Midland, TX.

Grandchildren: Adam Carrillo, Lena Williams, Cathy Kelley, Michelle L. Scrimale, Yvonne M. Amber, Edward Amber III, Danette M. Benhamimed, Lynette M. Sanchez, Veronica M. Flores, Anthony T. Prado, Isabella P. Gonzales, Cassandra I. Gonzales, Christina Vender, Dwight Maskew Jr., Elva Bower, Timothy Maskew, Isabel Weeden, and many great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Jose, Franke, Santos, and Juan Duran and sisters, Jesusa Montez, Rosa Armenta, Consuelo Montez, Emma Valencia, and Manuela Villareal.

Dominga lived a remarkable life filled with love, strength and a culinary talent, owning and operating several restaurants throughout her life, then retiring from El Charro Restaurant in Farmington, NM. She found her greatest joy in cooking, leaving a legacy of recipes that will live on in our family tradition.

She will be deeply missed by her loving family, and the memories will be cherished forever. She is now in our Heavenly Father's arms.
