Dominic Thomas Judy, age 29, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 28th at Stormont-
Vail Hospital. He was born on July 6, 1995 in Topeka, KS, the son of Chante Judy.
He graduated from Topeka High School in 2013, and received his Associates Degree in Information
Technology from Wichita Technical Institute in 2018.
A self-described computer geek, Dom loved technology and delighted in finding new ways to
apply his knowledge both at work and at home. He was an avid gamer and enjoyed playing
video games with friends locally and online with people around the world. Music was also an
important part of his life. He was skilled on several instruments including guitar, clarinet and
cello. His love for music is shown by one of his tattoos, a musical staff with the notes for part of
Bach's Cello Suite Number 1.
He and his beloved fiancee, Katie Wells, were devoted dog parents and lavished all of their love
on their dogs Nero, Xena Mei and PonyBoy Curtis. Xena was her daddy's particular princess.
Dominic leaves behind many who loved him: his fiancee, Katie Wells, his grandmother Donna
Duchesneau, his siblings Caleb Hammond, Donnie Curls, Graycie Cole, and Eric Fairburn;
uncles Tom (Monique) Judy, Mike (Ashley) Judy; niece and nephews Ashlynn Anderson, Merrick
Bogowith, Noah Bogowith, and Clayton Lovell, as well as many cousins and a wide circle of friends
and family who will never forget him.
He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Chante Judy, his aunt Emily Shaffer-Judy, and
his grandfather Leonard Duchesneau.
Dominic was a registered organ donor, and his family encourages everyone to consider the gift
of Life. Final arrangements are pending, and a memorial is being planned for a later date.

Dominic and I went to HS together and both played in the clarinet section. He was incredibly talented, very sweet, and easy to talk to.

We reconnected when he worked for the IT company that serviced my work, and I recognized his voice over the phone. We all took our dogs to the big open land dog park in Lawrence together, I met Katie, and we all swam in the pond. That's the last time I saw him.

I cannot believe he's gone - It's so incredibly unfair. My heart hurts.

I hope Katie and everyone who loved him can find some peace in this time where nothing makes sense.
