Obituary
Don M. "Bud" Vandemark, passed away March 1, 2023 in Florida two weeks after celebrating a milestone of 90 years. Bud was the son of Glen and Margaret Vandemark, Gomer, Ohio. Bud was married to Betty J. Thomas who passed away on April 15, 2020. They were married for over 70 loving years. They enjoyed spending their winters as "Snowbirds" in North Port, Florida.
Bud worked for 40 plus years as a Master Skilled Craftsman in the trade of Masonry. With his love for numbers, he enjoyed being the Sugarcreek Township Clerk for 21 years.
He was a HUGE Cleveland Indians fan, attended, scored and watched many a game in his day. His love of baseball took him to many MLB ballparks across the country by bus with Betty. Bud also attended the Rose Bowl to watch the OSU Buckeyes. Bud was a master Sudoku player.
Bud is survived by his children, Christine (Bob) Johnson, Sharon Agler, James (Sharon) Vandemark, Doug (Jola) Vandemark and Jill (Ken) Ricker; sixteen grandchildren and twenty-eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary (Tom) Williams; and a sister-in-law Sherran Vandemark.
