Don F. Bunker, 60 of North Syracuse, NY, passed away peacefully, after a long illness, on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 with his family and grand-dog by his side. He was born in San Diego, CA on December 17, 1963 to the late Robert and Sydney (Lane) Bunker.
Don proudly served in the U.S. Army as a Combat Telecommunications Center Operator. He graduated from Syracuse University with an MA in Foreign Language Education. He worked at the U.S. Postal Service for over 20 years, until retiring in 2020.
He was a lifelong member of Living Word Church, where he loved to worship the Lord Jesus Christ. He was a dedicated Husband and Father, who loved to play card games and sing silly songs with his Children. He quickly became friends with most anyone he met.
He is survived by his loving wife of thirty years, Rain; children, Acacia (Geoffrey), Joanna, Merisi and Jim; sister, Nicole Bunker; brother, Doug Bunker, several Nieces, Nephews and one Cousin.
Don was predeceased by his sister, Theresa Dean.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 from 4-6pm. A Celebration of Life will follow at 6pm. To view the Celebration of Life, please Click Here
Private burial in the spring.
