Donnie "Don" Hugh Coker, 71, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born to the late Harry and Montana (Sellers) Coker on January 2, 1952 in Imboden. Don was a member and former Deacon of Valley View Church of Christ. After he retired, Don took his favorite job working for his sons at C&S Cleaning Supply. In his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his sister, Edie Richardson.
Don is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley E. Coker of the home; sons, Kiley Coker (Tara) of Paragould and Zach Coker (Sarah) of Jonesboro; sisters, Phyllis Cantrell (Jerry) of Pocahontas and Wanda Miller of Paragould; sister-in-law, Cecilia Davidson (Ron) of Beaverton, Oregon; and grandchildren, Kason Coker, Kinsley Coker, and Khloe Coker.
The visitation will be held prior to the service on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m.
The service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at Valley View Church of Christ with Spencer Furby officiating. Burial will follow at Hope Cemetery in Imboden with the active pallbearers being Kiley Coker, Zach Coker, Kason Coker, Blake Adams, John Campbell, and Jeremy Ragsdale.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Paragould Children's Home, 5515 Walcott Road, Paragould, Arkansas 72450.
