Don Willard Hensley, 83 of Odessa Texas went to be with our lord on the 2nd of March 2026 in Crane Texas.
Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, March 7th, 2026, at Odessa First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Bob Lothenore officiating.
Don was born in Lamesa Tx. To James Willard & Madie Marie Hensley on August 27,1942. Early on Don Attended schools in Odessa Tx graduating from Ector High School. He married the love of his life Joletta Doreen Lucas on October 19,1963 in Odessa Texas. Don was a talented outside salesman for Border States Electric where he ultimately retired. Through out Dons life he was heavily involved in the church He and his family proudly served for the last 50 years at Odessa First Church of the Nazarene where he could be found every Sunday handing out Smarties candy to the kids.
Don was preceeded in death by Father James Willard, Mother Madie Marie, Brother Billy Jim Hensley, and Mary Ann Hensley.
Don is Survived by his loving wife of 63 years Joletta Doreen Hensley, Daughter Michele & Chad Butler of Crane Tx., Son James Darren Hensley of Odessa Texas; Grandchildren Bryce and Amanda Horton of Phelan California, Ryan and Kenzie Horton of Odessa, Jacelyn Hensley and Swethal Athyala of Woodstock Vermont; Great Grandchildren Madison Kate Horton, Bryson Alexander Horton, Dexx Author Mojica, Ellie Ryan Horton.
Memorials may be given to Odessa First Church of the Nazarene.
The family of Don Hensley wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Medina and staff at Crane Memorial Hospital as well as the staff of Focus Care Crane.
