Don Jespersen

Don Ellis Jespersen, 76, of Wells, MN, died Sunday, September 22, 2019 at Parkview Care Center in Wells, MN. A Memorial visitation will be held Thursday, September 26, 2019 at from 1:00-3:00 PM at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells. Interment will be in Freeborn Cemetery in Freeborn, MN with Military Honors accorded by the Wells Color Guard and the Freeborn American Legion Post. Don Ellis Jespersen was born April 30, 1943, the son of Bernhardt and Nora (Millhouse) Jespersen in Freeborn County, MN. He married Pamela Todd August 11, 1965 in Minnesota Lake, MN and to this union 2 daughters were born. Don had worked at Wells Prestress, Wells Public Utilities and retired from the City of Wells. He enjoyed a game of golf with his friends and deer hunting and fishing were favorite past-times. In his younger years, he played softball and managed the Legion Baseball Team. Don was volunteer firefighter for the City of Wells for 25 years, and a member of the Wells Color Guard, providing military honors for fellow comrades for over 25 years. Don is survived by his wife of 54 years, Pam Jespersen of Wells; 2 daughters: Lisa (husband Paul) Medved of Andover, MN and Teri Jespersen (Mike Hanson) of Mankato, MN; 3 grandsons: Jason and Luke Medved of Andover, MN, Cody Boettcher of Mankato; 1 brother: Roger (wife Sue) Jespersen of Mankato, 2 sisters: Betty (husband Tom) Schuster of Baudette, MN, and Cheryl Dornquast of Mankato; along with many nieces, nephews and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Joan Jespersen and brother Paul Jespersen.
