Don S. Mackall

Don S. Mackall, 82, a long-time resident of Elyria, passed away unexpectedly at UH Elyria Medical Center, on Monday, December 1, 2025. He was born December 8, 1942, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Don retired from General Motors after 31 years, where he was proud to be the jack of all trades. He enjoyed woodworking, and antiquing. Don is survived by his loving partner of 15 years, Barbara; three sons, Steven (Christina), Shawn (Angela), and Scott (Jill); two grandchildren; his great granddaughter; his brother, David (Wendy); two sisters-in-law, Nancy, and Kenny; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 35 years, Carol; his parents, Jacob and Helen; and his brother Paul. The family welcomes friends to join them on Sunday, December 7, 2025, from 4pm to 6pm at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. The funeral service will be held Monday December 8, 2025, at 11am, at the funeral home. Don will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon following the service. Pastor Mark Knauss will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation.
