Don Albert Simeneau, 87, of Winchester, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 3, 2025. Born in Sudbury, MA on July 16, 1938, he was the son of the late Carl and Louise (Main) Simeneau. Don grew up in Sudbury, MA and later moved to Keene where he graduated in 1956 from Keene High School. That same year, he enlisted in the United States Army National Guard and served for 6 years until he was honorably discharged. In 1958, he married the love of his life Celine St. Pierre at St. Bernards Church in Keene. He worked for the Markem Corporation for 40 plus years. He also served on several boards in Swanzey for many years, as well as being a volunteer firefighter. In his free time, Don enjoyed playing golf and cribbage with friends, traveling, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife Celine Simeneau; son Chris Simeneau and wife Robbin of Swanzey; daughter Kim Himmler and significant other Michael Blaudschun of Nelson; grandchildren Joshua, Natasha, Andrew, Brian, and Kelsey; and 9 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his son Brian Simeneau; sister Beverly Smith and her husband David Smith. A burial with military honors will take place at 11AM on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Mountain View Cemetery, 675 Old Homestead Hwy, Swanzey, NH 03446. Friends and family are welcome to join us at the service. There will be a reception following the service at the East Swanzey Community House. Services are under the care of Cheshire Family Funeral Home, Chapel, and Crematories. www.cheshirefamilyfh.com.
