Aiken, Donald Leo
Donald L. "Butchie" Aiken, a Mathematician who worked for government at Hanscom Air Force base for 35 years. He died at the Winchester Rehabilitation and Nursing Center on December 25, 2024 after a few months illness. He was 88 years old, Born in Arlington and lived there his whole life. He was devoted husband to the late Margaret A. (Latchford) Aiken. Father to Donald and his wife Julie of Westford, Kevin and his wife Judy of Arlington, Michael Aiken of Georgia and the late William Aiken of Arlington. Survived by his sisters Eleanor Jonasson of Florida and Jean O'Connor of Woburn and preceded in death by his brothers John Aiken, Edward Aiken and Paul Aiken.
He was an Army veteran and graduated from Boston College on GI bill. He was an avid sport fan, especially fond of the BC teams. He liked to fish, had a weekly card game with his Arlington friends, and went with his friend to the dog track. He took his four sons to all their sports games and he himself had a good jump shot and threw pretty good batting practice.
In lieu of lowers donations can be made to his favorite charity "Boys Town" or any charity of your choice. Arrangements by Keefe Funeral Home, ARLINGTON
