Donald Albensi Obituary

Donald A. "Don" Albensi, 98, of Murrysville, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2025. He was born April 6, 1927, in Turtle Creek, son of the late Elmer and Carmella (Clement) Albensi. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Alyce Jean (Hart) Albensi; his brother, Elmer R. Albensi; his sister, Anna Mae Albensi; and his longtime companion, Elizabeth J. "Betty" Urick. Don was a World War II veteran of the United States Army, serving his country in the Engineering Combat Battalion. He was also a 35-year employee of Wabtec Corporation Engineering Division. He was an avid golfer and a car enthusiast, but Don's greatest love was spending time with his family and friends. Don is survived by his brother, Clarence (Lillian) Albensi; his sister-in-law, Jean Albensi; a niece, Debra (Duane) Cardamone; his three nephews, Anthony Albensi, Jeffrey Albensi, and Raymond (Christi) Albensi; two great-nephews, Jon Michael Cardamone and Jackson Albensi; and two great-nieces, Cara Lombardi and Lauren Albensi. Visitation for Don will be from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2025, at HART FUNERAL HOME INC., Murrysville. Parting prayers will be held at 12:15 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 22, 2025, at the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass at 1 p.m. at Mother of Sorrows church.
