Donald Bailey Obituary
He was a lifelong musician and lover of music. Almost from the time he could pick up sticks he was playing drums in a band. He was a true Jazz Cat, listening to Miles Davis, Dave Brubeck, and Thelonius Monk. There was not a joke that he did not know and tell, sometimes repeatedly. Don was kind hearted and loving. He loved and was loved by his family.
Don was predeceased by his parents, Frank Gordon and Elizabeth Bailey as well as a grandson, Daniel G. Bailey Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Bailey (nee Sico), his daughter Rachel M. (Alex) Giambra, son Daniel G (Margaret) Bailey, daughter Megan Bailey, grandsons Dawson G. Bailey, Devon Clare, granddaughter Ayla McClellan, great-granddaughter Addison Perez, sister Margaret Gansereit, and a slew of nephews and nieces. He will be missed but his song will play on.
Visitation will be from 1-3 pm on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at the Fiore-Buckley Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township. Funeral Service will be 2:30 pm. For condolences, please visit www.fiorefuneralhomes.com.
