Donald Alvin Bergemann

Donald Alvin Bergemann, born on March 31, 1949, in Illinois, passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer on January 11, 2026, in Palm Harbor, Florida. He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Bergemann; his daughter, Kristi Rothell; granddaughter, Aly Rothell; son-in-law, Sean Rothell; sister, Terese Hoefer; brother, David Bergemann; brother-in-law, Paul Hoefer; and sister-in-law, June Bergemann.
Donald was a dedicated pharmacist with a passion for his work, serving as the President of the Florida Pharmacy Association from 2007 to 2008. He also earned a Master's of Business Adminstration at the University of South Florida. Outside of his professional life, Donald found joy in golf and tennis, often engaging in friendly matches with family and friends. His love for music and travel enriched his life, while his enthusiasm for watching baseball provided many memorable moments shared with loved ones. He also served his community as part of the Citizens Advisory Committee for the City of Tarpon Springs and as a volunteer at the Good Samaritan Health Clinic in New Port Richey.
Friends and family are invited to join for a gathering at 10:00 a.m in the chapel at Curlew Hills Funeral Home, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at the same location. The committal service will take place after the memorial at the Curlew Hills Prayer Mausoleum. Donald will be remembered for his warm spirit, love for family, and dedication to his profession. His legacy will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
Donald was preceded in death by: Alvin Bergemann (father); Julia McPeek (mother); Charlie Bergemann (brother); and Eugene Bergemann (brother).
