Donald D. Berry

 

Donald D. Berry, 91, of Garden City, KS passed away Sunday, December 10, 2023 at Homestead Assisted Living.  A celebration of Donald’s life will be 10 a.m. Saturday, December 23, 2023 at Turning Point Church of the Nazarene, 2720 N. Campus Drive, Garden City, KS 67846.  Donald will be laid to rest in Deerfield Cemetery.  The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the church. 

 

Donald was born July 24, 1932 to the late Charley and Leora Berry in Garden City, Kansas and graduated from Deerfield High School in 1950.  Don worked for his father’s construction company throughout high school.  After high school, Don went to work for Kansas Nebraska until 1967 when he started his career in car sales.  His friendly personality helped him succeed in his new found career.  He was the Sales manager for Schreiber Motors as well as working for Magouirk Chevrolet in Cimarron and later was part owner of Common Cents Cars with Western Motors in Garden City. 

 

He is preceded in death by his brothers, Dale and Harold; and son in law, Jim Weatherred.  He is survived by his children, Marvin Berry and wife Diane; Diana Weatherred; Denton Berry and wife Karen; Mike Berry and wife Debbie; Belinda Berry; a brother, Dennis Berry and wife Sue; special family, Quang Nguyen and wife Julie;  16 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and one great grandchild on the way.  (Arrangements: Robson Funeral Home – Garden City)
