Donald "Donny" Leighton Bouma, 78, of Franklin Grove, IL, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025, at OSF Saint Katharine Medical Center in Dixon, IL. He worked 45 years as a Farm Hand at Appelquist Farms in Franklin Grove.
Donald was born on May 5, 1947, in Dixon, the son of Douwe and Henrietta (Dorfinger) Bouma. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He loved to mow and was a member of the Living History Antique Equipment Association in Franklin Grove.
Donald is survived by his two sisters, Aleta (Doug) Siefer of Portland, OR, Patricia (Rob) Roberson of Oahu, HI; and caring friends turned family, Rick (Amy) Appelquist, Ryan (Cassi) Appelquist, and Bridget (Clay) Walton.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be no services, per Donald's wishes. A Private Burial will be held at Emmert Cemetery in Nachusa, IL. Cremation Rites have been accorded.
Memorials may be directed to the Living History Antique Equipment Association in Franklin Grove.
Arrangements were completed by Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon.
