In Loving Memory of Donald Austin Busha
Beloved Father, Grandfather, Brother, and Friend
1939 – 2025
Donald Austin Busha, age 85, passed away peacefully in the company of his loving family. Born
in Council Hill, Oklahoma, Donald was one of six children raised on a farm, where he learned the
values of hard work, resilience, and family principles that would guide him throughout his life.
Donald built a legacy, not only through his successful business, Busha Boatworks, but also
through the family he raised and the community he cherished. A proud father of seven children,
he is survived by Marla Busha, Donald Busha, Jr., Kevin Davis, Bob Busha and Casey Busha as
well as numerous grandchildren, a great-grandson, his sister Carla Keen and his brothers
Dennis Busha and Daniel Busha. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marylyn, whose
memory he honored every day.
A proud resident of Matagorda County, Donald was deeply rooted in the community he loved. He
was known for his generous spirit, his support of local efforts, and his deep passion for fishing.
The bays and backwaters of the region were his sanctuary, and he could often be found exploring
them with a rod in hand and a story to tell.
Donald’s memory will live on in the waters he cherished, the family he loved, and the community
he helped shape. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
