Dear Greg, Kari and Lyndsay,
My heartfelt sympathy in the time of your loss. May you find comfort in the nearness of the Resurrection story and the memories of your dad and grandfather. In Christian sympathy,

Dear Jan-
I remember that the year my mom passed away, I had asked God to give me more faith never realizing that He would bring my request to fruition the way that He did. Nonetheless, I did grow so much in my faith that year and learned better how to trust Him to help me in my darkest hour. Hold fast to His promise that He will never give you more than you can handle. Your folks are surely happy as once again they are together. The following poem is so comforting to me as I realize that it's only for a time that we are separated from our loved ones. I hope it will bring some comfort to you and your family as well. It's called "The Broken Cord"-
We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone; for part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide; and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same; but as God calls us, one by one, the chain will link again.

My love to you, dear friend.
