Donald L. Cimaglia, 79, of Chepachet Rhode Island, passed away Tuesday, August 26th, 2025, at Rhode Island hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Providence, RI, he was the son of late Perry and Clara Rose (Puopolo) Cimaglia. He was a devoted husband to his wife Mary (Marks) Cimaglia for more than 59 years.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughters: Lori Ann Cimaglia and Lisa Marie Renzi and her husband, Christopher Houde, both of Chepachet, his pride and joy; granddaughter, Gianna Rose Renzi and her husband, Michael Karmozyn , his cherished great grandsons: Mason Michael and Jaxson Edward Karmozyn, all of Chepachet, his three sisters: Kathleen Ferrazzano, Janie Cimaglia, Marie Nichols and her husband, James, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. He was the brother of late Robert Cimaglia and brother-in-law of the late Norman Ferrazzano.

He proudly served in the US Army.

For many years he owned and operated construction companies, building and remodeling homes. He attended Johnson and Wales, taking several business courses to help grow his construction company.

In his later years, he worked as a master craftsman at Monarch Industries as a specialty cabinet maker and supervisor.

He enjoyed vacationing in Arizona with his wife and taking care of his vegetable gardens. He had a great love for music in many genres. His favorite singer was Dean Martin. He always loved "Quahoggin" with his brother-in-law and best friend, Frank Marks. They were both members of the Smithfield Lodge of Elks for over 20 years. He enjoyed cooking and sharing family recipes with his daughter Lisa and talking sports with his daughter Lori. He loved spending time with his Gianna Rose and two great grandsons, which he adored. But above all else his greatest love was being with his Merry (Mary) who he always referred to as his love, his life - his wife.
