I wanted to share a few words about your dad, because his passing reaches far beyond your family - it truly feels like an entire chapter of our community´s life has closed.

For 80 years he was the steady, faithful sound in our church. He played for my parents´ wedding, for ours, and for both of my children´s weddings - and for more family weddings and church celebrations than any of us could possibly count. His music is woven into the fabric of our church history.

But it wasn´t only the music. He was a smart farmer, a good neighbor, and a friend - steady, reliable, always present. He lived the kind of a rooted life that blesses everyone around it.

Your dad will be missed by many - by our family, by our church, by everyone who knew him. He will be remembered by us with warmth, gratitude, and deep affection.

We are sorry that we cannot be with you during this time, please know all of you are in our thoughts and prayers.
