Mr. Donald Glen Cork

Donald Glen Cork, 71, of Smiths Station, AL died at his home surrounded by family on Wednesday, January 12, 2022.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 17, 2022 at Smiths Station Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. David Kees officiating according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM on Sunday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Cork was born May 18, 1950 in Birmingham, AL son of the late Leonard Clyde Cork and Mary Nell Bradley Cork. Mr. Cork proudly served his country in The United States Army during The Vietnam Conflict. Later he worked as a mechanic at Fort Benning for many years. Mr. Cork was a member of the Wilson Williams Masonic Lodge # 351 in Phenix City, AL. He enjoyed hunting, camping and watching old westerns. Mr. Cork was also a member of Smiths Station Baptist Church. He loved to be with his family enjoying family fun. We will miss him in our hearts, but he will always be in our hearts and memories.
Mr. Cork was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Sharon Maxwell Cork; two sisters, Mary Suggs and Gloria Cork; three brothers, Robert Cork, David Cork and Jeff Cork.
Survivors include his four daughters, Shannon Montano (Luis "Charlie"), Myrtle Beach, SC, Michelle Cork (Cale South), Smiths Station, AL, Dawn Figueroa (Oliver), Columbus, GA and Kim Thomas (Rick), Phenix City, AL; one sister, Joan Bearden (Gerald) Palmerdale, AL; eleven grandchildren, Lorelai Romanishan, Adyson Romanishan, Andee Guthrie, Marco Montano (Tai), Nicole Montano, Shaleah Jones, Dontreze Isaac, Ziya Pinckney, Miyah Bryant, Carlito Brown and Brittany Finley; one great grandchild, Lana Montano; canine best friend, "Kacie"; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
