Sherry Davis

Mrs. Sherry Davis, 78, of Seale, AL passed away Thursday, March 12, 2026 at the Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, GA.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Monday, March16, 2026 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City, AL with Dr. Don James officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 4:00 until 6:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Davis was born July 30, 1947 in Headland, AL, daughter of the late James Shelton Smith and Christine Smith Snellgrove. She worked as a beautician for many years and then in the catering industry. Mrs. Davis loved cooking and baking cakes. Above all, her passion was watching her grandson’s sporting events. She was a long time member of Christian Life Church.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Thomas Smith.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Larry W. Davis; a son, Heath Davis and wife Kathy Jo; a sister, Lydia Dickerson and husband Wayne; a brother, Gene Smith and wife Bernice; grandsons, Taylor and Luke; as well as several extended family members and friends.
