With deep love and cherished memories, we announce the passing of Donald Delano
Davidson, 92, of Forsyth, Missouri, who entered eternal rest on June 13, 2025, at Cox
Medical Center in Branson, Mo.
Donald was born on March 23, 1933, in Dickens, Mo., to Joseph Edward and Mary Ruth
(Cook) Davidson. He graduated from Forsyth High School in 1952 and soon after
proudly served his country in the United States Army during and after the Korean War.
On August 22, 1970, Donald married the love of his life, Betty Ann Patrick, in Louisiana,
Mo. They celebrated 54 years of marriage last summer. Donald and Betty lived as a
family in St. Charles, Mo. for 27 years before moving to Forsyth, where they made their
home for the past 27 years. They attended church with the Assembly of God
congregations in both St. Charles and Branson, Mo.
Donald was employed with General Motors for 37 years, spending much of his career at
the parts distribution center in Hazelwood, Mo. Known for his quiet strength, strong work
ethic, and warm smile, Donald found joy in the simple things-time outdoors, laughter
with family, and a cup of black coffee in the morning. He loved fishing, camping,
NASCAR, and hunting, especially deer and antelope.
Above all, Donald was a family man-devoted, steady, and deeply loved. He is survived
by his loving wife, Betty Ann Davidson; two sons, Scott (Ashley) Davidson of Kansas
City, Mo, and Gary (Julie) Davidson of Wichita, Kansas; one sister, Betty Jo Schelf of
Joplin, Mo.; five grandchildren, Brooks, Barrett, Beckham, Zion, and Zane; and
numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Kenneth Davidson, Jack
Davidson, and Dale Davidson; and two sisters, Francis Davidson and Sarah Elizabeth
Davidson.
Services will be held at Snapp-Bearden Forsyth Chapel in Forsyth, Mo, on June 28,
2025. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., with the service to follow at 11:00 a.m.,
officiated by Pastor David Koenig. Burial will follow at Dickens Cemetery in Dickens, Mo.
Arrangements have been made under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Forsyth Chapel in
