Donald "Del" Morissette Obituary
There will be a Celebration of Life service Saturday, July 19 at 1 pm at North Church, 8303 N. Division St., Spokane, WA.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Union Gospel Mission of the Inland Empire.
Del is survived by Diane, his beloved wife of 37 years, daughters Kirsten and Mary, son and daughter-in-love Peter and Jenn, granddaughters Meskerem and Kidist, brother Richard "Dick" Morissette, sister Carole Cragg, and former wife Janie Morissette.
Del was known for his strong faith, servant leadership, "scary smart" intellect, creativity, generosity, and his deeply compassionate nature.
He was a loving husband and father and adored his role as "Papa" to his beloved granddaughters.
Del was larger than life in so many ways and in his passing, he has left a large hole in a lot of lives. Yet, we do not grieve as those who have no hope. We know that he is with the Lord, where there is no pain and no tears. His goal was to end well... and he did.

Del´s giftedness made him extraordinary in numerous ways. His intellectual brilliance was matched by the tenderness of his heart. By all the best measures of greatness, he was a giant of a man - a man I always wanted to be more like. Gosh Del, it seems like you just retired. I am sorry for Del's early passing. I am glad that Del and Diane got a chance to retire back in "Gods country" in the Pacific North West. I worked for Del in the Medical Office Controller's Office of The Permanente Medical Group (Kaiser) and have many fond memories of my time there, where I had a chance to grow, learn and be a part of a dynamic and ever learning team. Thanks for all the lessons along the way.
