GARDNER – Richard L. Morissette, 86, beloved husband of Lorraine (Sullivan) Morissette, passed away in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family, on Thursday, October 23, 2025. Born and raised in Leominster, he was the son of the late Lionel and Mary Ann (Progin) Morissette.
After graduation, Dick enlisted in the United States Air Force and proudly served his country.
His hobbies included antiquing, visiting casinos all over the county, karaoke, buying and selling real estate, and in his younger years, going to local dance halls.
He will be lovingly missed and remembered by his wife of 35 years, Lorraine; his three daughters, Paula Consalvo of Salem, MA, Linda Farrell-Pratschner and her spouse, Brian of FL, and Tricia Dollar and her spouse Ryan of Gardner; his four step-children, Sherry Thibeault and her spouse, Tom of Sterling, Tracy Day of Gardner, Corey Day of Palm Bay, FL and John Day of Gardner; his brother, Robert Morissette and his spouse, Susan of New Hampshire; 14 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Pamela Rhodes; his step-son, Michael Day; a brother, Donald Morissette; and his sister, Lucille Boucher.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather with the family from 11 to 12 p.m. on Monday, November 3 in the Miles-Sterling Funeral & Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling. A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Sterling. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society.
