Donald Colin Dingwall, 91, of Dripping Springs, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 24, 2024.
Don was born on October 24, 1932, to James and Ruth Dingwall in Shamrock. After Don graduated from Austin High School in 1950, he went on to study chemical engineering at Rice and the University of Texas in Austin.
Upon earning his degree, he started his career as a chemical engineer at Dow Chemical and remained with the company for 40 years. While at Dow he was the plant manager in Seoul, Korea and later became the Vice President of Dow Chemical Korea. He concluded his career as a chemical engineer at Destec Energy in Houston.
In 1997, Don retired and spent his time playing tennis and golf, serving at his church, attending mission trips and leading church worship for children with special needs.
Don was predeceased by his parents, James and Ruth Dingwall and his daughter, Susannah Dingwall.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jin Hee, his daughters Nancy and Lisa, his sister Nancy and his grandchildren, Caleb, Christopher, Caitlin, Johnny and Ruby.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Star of Hope Mission in Houston, an organization that was dear to his heart.
The family will celebrate Donald's life with a memorial service at a later date.
Please re-visit his tribute page and learn the date and time of the service schedule.
