I moved up to Gaylord a few years ago and didn´t know anyone. I live on Hallock Road and Donnie´s garage is just down the road so he drove by here a lot. One day he stopped and we talked. Great guy. Every now and again he´d stop to just say hi and tell me all the jobs he was doing in the area. I looked forward to seeing him. He was a good man,a funny man, and hard working man. Always busy doing something. Lately I haven´t seen him go by and wave or beep the horn so I got a little concerned. I am so so sorry to hear of Donnie´s passing. I so wish I could have said goodbye. He´s in a better place now but I certainly hope he takes a little time off and does a little fishing. He´s only away. We´ll see him again soon. RIP my friend

We are truly saddened to learn of the passing of this faithful volunteer, and Eagle member. The Friday night fish fries will not seem the same without his practiced hands! God Speed!
