Donald (Don) Casey, age 86, New London. Passed away peacefully Sept. 2nd with his loving Family by his side. No cure to be had. Jesus came and put his arms around him and took him home. Don was born April 6th, 1940, son of the late Harold and Dolores (Komp) Casey. He graduated from New London High School class of 1958. After graduation Don started a Career in Construction (Black Topping) for Payne and Dolan, Waukesha. He loved taking road trips around the area, and pointing out all the roads, or parking lots that he has paved over the years. On the side Don had a passion for raising beef cattle and loved working the land of his farm for 20 plus years. In 1992 he met the love of his life (Darlene Hilker) at a Polka Dance at Al’s Bar in New London. Together they loved to travel; his favorite vacation was Alaska, and then Aruba. You would also find the two of them at a Casino where he enjoyed playing black jack and slots. Dons greatest Pride was his grand children and great grand children. Don loved spending his weekends at the race track with his family watching his son Terry (aka Mr. Excitement #42) race, which he was his biggest fan. In 1997 Don and Darlene built their Dream Home in the woods on the back of his property. He loved the outdoors, where he took pride in gardening, and making sure his lawn looked nice. He also loved riding around the farm on his UTV, where you could never find him without a Diet Mountain Dew in his hands. Don was very proud of his heritage; with a beautiful display of Antiques down his driveway aka “Antique Alley”.

Don is survived by his wife Darlene of 24 years, Children; Duane (Bev), Ben (Chris), Glenn, Terry (Lori), and 2 Step Children; Kevin (Tammy) Otten, Janelle (Mike) Otten. Grand children; Lucas (Clara), Nicole (Danny) Yde, Jordan (Keira), Brandon, Brittany (Kirk) Quaintance, Cody, Brooke, Zac (Miranda), Nic (Ava), Jac (Anna), Dakota (Kenzie), Royden and Braylah. Great-Grand Children; Jameson, Charleigh, Silas, Della, Callahan, Oliver, Easton, Owen, Austin, Zaden, Aston, Croix, Stylez, Scarlett, Monroe.

Further Survived by brothers and sisters; Jerry (NC), Sally (Bill) Carew (FL), Jim (Mary Ellen) (FL), Doug (Cindy), Darla (Tom) Ironsides, Mark (Teri). Brother and Sister in Laws; Gordy Maves (Ill), Dennis (Carol) Hilker, Dewy Hilker, DeAnn (Joe) Miller, and many cherished nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Dolores, Sister Rita, brother in law; Dennis, sister in law’s; Anita, Debbie, Linda, and Rose.

The Family would especially like to Thank the Theda Care Hospice Team; Katie, Julie, Angie and Jodie. Also a very special Thank You to our own fantastic team (Lori, Terry, Mike, Nicole, Lucas, Brittany, Duane) that went above and beyond in the exceptional care given to Don, especially our daughter Janelle who seemed able to keep the ship afloat when things got rough. They are all definitely a god sent.

Funeral Mass for Don will be held Friday Sept 11th at 11am at St. Patrick’s Parish in Lebanon, with Father Hoffman Officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday Sept 10th from 4-7pm at Cline and Hanson Funeral Home in New London and at the Church Friday from 9:00am until the time of the service.

Rest in Peace Don until we meet again. Remember everything is BEAUTIFUL!
