Donald Mansfield "Don" Winters Jr.

1944 - 2024

Donald ("Don") Mansfield Winters, Jr., born March 11, 1944 in New Orleans, entered peacefully into heaven on Friday, July 5, 2024 surrounded by his loving family and friends. A devoted husband of Deardra Orgeron ("Sue") for 14 years. A loving father of Kerri Winters Pellegrini (Terry). A proud grandfather of Justin Pellegrini (Rachael), Brett Pellegrini (Gabby), and a great-grandfather of Sophia and Savannah Pellegrini. The son of the late Elaine LaGleize Winters and Donald Winters, Sr. Brother of Jane Winters Daigle (C. J.) and late Gretchen Winters Nini and Shelly Winters Peoples. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Don worked mainly in the oilfield industry for Reagan Equipment, Automation Associates, and owner of Enterprise Service & Supply, and more recently worked for Grand Isle Shipyard and Biomed Plus. As a native of New Orleans, Don loved boiling crawfish, playing golf, and spending time with his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Louisiana SPCA, 1700 Mardi Gras Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70114 may be made to honor Don's love of animals. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, Louisiana on Saturday, July 20, 2024 from 10 a.m. until 12 noon.
