TIPP CITY -- Donald E. Drake age 89 of Tipp City, OH passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2021 at SpringMeade Health Center in Tipp City.
Born March 27, 1932 to the late Vernon and Viola (Park) Drake. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Marvin Keith (Barbara) Drake, and Virginia Drake (Dwayne Miller).
Donald is survived by his loving wife Sharon L. (Schulte) Drake of Tipp City, children, Karen Richardson of Troy, OH, Brian (Pauline) Drake of Chardon, OH, Michael Owen, Mark (Amber) Owen, Matt (Christa) Owen, Michelle (Kevin) Price, all of Tipp City, OH. Also surviving are grandchildren; Megan, Andrew, Emma & Jessica.
Donald graduated from the University of Kansas and became a Staff Sargent for the United States Air Force and was a Korean War Veteran. He later worked as an Electronic Engineer Division Chief for Wright Patterson Air Force Base.
He was a member of the Tipp City United Methodist Church and Tipp City Eagles Aerie 2201. He was an avid tennis player and bike rider. Donald also enjoyed being a Ham Radio Operator, call #WODOX.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until the service at Noon on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371, with Pastor Bonita Ritchie officiating. Burial to follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City. Online condolences may be expressed at www.fringsandbayliff.com.
